There’s a sense of distrust I feel when I ask AI to review my writing—to evaluate its storytelling and coherence. It will give me a believable review, for sure, but I know that review hasn’t come from lived experience.
When I ask a human for feedback, I place trust in that person first. That trust is grounded in their experience and credibility, which makes me open to their judgment. With AI, knowing that its view of something as subjective and artistic as writing hasn’t come from practice or experience means the relationship begins with distrust. Whatever it says gets viewed through that lens.
